Seminole Sash Celebration
11/16/2022 | 1m 36s
The Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum on the Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation received a sash reportedly worn by Seminole warrior Osceola at the time of his capture by the U.S. Army in the early 19th Century. Privately donated in 2018, the sash is made of finger-woven wool, a rare Seminole art form that is still practiced today, adorned with white seed beads.
