The Naples Pride Center has added a walk in medical clinic to its offerings.

It provides prevention, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections or STIs, all at no cost.

Administrative assistant Michael Stevens explains.

It's a free and confidential service for STI testing and treatment, and that's going to include HIV, hepatitis.

The general full suite of STIs free insurance is not necessary used if you have it, but it's a really great new service for the public He goes on to say how this clinic is different from others in town.

Well, I think think the most important distinction is you don't don't need insurance and there's no cost, so you can get prep to prevent HIV, for example in other medical institutions.

But here you have people who are familiar with the issues that mostly confront sexually active people in the LGBT community, and they also have overcome the barrier for price.

The center also offers support groups, such as twelve step meetings and events like Game Nights for the LGBTQ community.
