  • Aired: 11/18/2005

  • Rating: NR
In the early 1900s Punta Gorda evolved from a once rugged frontier town to the county seat of newly-formed Charlotte County. Throughout the years, the community weathered hurricanes, freezes, and the 1920s land boom crash - but nothing could hamper the town's continued growth. To this day, newcomers continue to flock to the popular destination near Charlotte Harbor.
